The Story Of Paul Jubelt
Paul George Jubelt, born May 6, 1941 Paul is the only son of Karl Georg Jubelt (May 8,1903 - August 30,1984). Karl's wife Bernice preceded him in death by 32 years, leaving him with two children to bring up. This he did at great personal sacrifice. Bernice died of cancer in Sept 1952, and his greatest fear was of following in her footsteps with that illness. I as his son witnessed his deterioration in a very short time period that during the last 8 days of his life saw him will his own death to relieve his suffering. At the time of his death, 2 children, 5 grand children, and 2 great grandchildren survive Karl.

Paul has one sister, Carolyn Florence Jubelt Kapavik, born Sept 4, 1939. My great grandfather, Karl Wilhelm Jubelt was described a having a blond mustache and a red beard. This condition somewhat describes myself, when I rarely grow a beard.

To describe myself is somewhat redundant when describing other family members, both in the physical and psychological. I'm 5'lO" tall currently, (shorter by 3/8" as the result of a race car injury in 1968), weigh 185 lbs more or less, Red hair (what remains of it) and wear a Mustache. The typical male baldness pattern is mine, much to the amusement of my children. I generally take after some of my mother's family, but with Jubelt traits predominating. I have somewhat of an irresistible personality; I am considered a perfectionist in about anything I take to task of interest. My personal skills, interests, and hobbies range from machinist, mechanic, farmer, computer technician, draftsman, race car equipment designer and manufacturer; pretend interests lie to the outdoors type, depending on the season, including hunting and fishing.

I once farmed 500 acres on a part-time basis and developed time and energy saving techniques that were unique to the local community at that time.

I graduated from Columbus South High School in 1959, and shortly thereafter became employed by AT&T and have remained there since. My family includes my wife (Sharon Ann Edwards), daughters Kristine Paulette (11-23-70), and Karla Ann (1-8-74). Our residence is an old farmhouse built in 1853 and is of barn type timber-frame construction. This house is on a 19.49-acre parcel of ground in S.E. Delaware County, Ohio.

Carolyn Florence Jubelt Kapavik, born Sept 4, 1939 Carolyn is the only daughter of Karl Georg Jubelt. She married at the early age of 18 and has three children and two grandchildren. Carolyn is currently researching our mother's family history and has complied quite a portfolio for the Shannon, Plymell, and Musseilman linage. Carolyn's children include Elizabeth, Michael, and John1 Elizabeth's children include Nicole and Angelic.

NOTE: Paul Jubelt passed away on August 31, 2003. He was a good friend.
